Dominican amber tends to present itself in numerous, brilliant colors, with very beautiful and unbeatable varieties of hues. More hues have been gathered in our country than in any other part of the world: because of its transparency, and, more than anything, this great chromatic richness, Dominican amber is the most valued and widely used in commerce. The Palette of colors is incredible: from the almost transparent clear, to the light-yellow and red, or the yellowish-green and purple all the way to yellow-blue in all its hues, from the lightest greenish-yellow, to the emerald green, from light red to ruby red or dark, almost black, from the lightest brown to the different hues of black (reddish, green, purple and pure black), to the hues of the fluorescent blue (from the lightest to the most intense navy blue), all the way to the water amber -all the way from cloudy to milky yellows- to bone white, to mother-of-pearl and different colored veins.
