Jorge Caridad, founder and proprietor of the Larimar Factory is professional goldsmith himself. Since his youth he has worked with Larimar and Amber.
He is also founder of the Larimar Museum and the Amber World Museum in the city of Santo Domingo and became founder and president of the National Association of Craftsmen. Jorge Caridad and his wife Arelis de Caridad have personal interest to give this semiprecious stone, Larimar, the place it deserves: a stone that represents the Dominican people and as such, an important region of the Caribbean. Larimar is a true Dominican-Caribbean treasure.
